What is magic but the ability a woman has to create the life she desires? Using the available living energy that all things radiate (Ha, Heka, Barakka, Qi, Ki), in combination with your own will = magic practice. The magician knows how to increase the money in her wallet, change her surroundings, and influence people without exhausting her energy or doing too much work. Adding magic to your daily life is as simple as returning to the rituals of our indigenous mothers. Life without ritual is like an oil painting done in grayscale, it's just "blah."
Freedom slips away, money dwindles, and life becomes an uncomfortable constant rollercoaster of drama. The woman who remembers ritual isn't caught off guard by unexpected events, she is the creator of opportunity and the destroyer of negativity. It isn't difficult to incorporate magic practice into your daily regimen. I recommend you read books by Scott Cunningham, Star Hawk and Judika Illes to get started on your journey to if ritual is uncommon to you.
The magical woman also understands the importance of self care for successful practice. Effective magic is impossible with fatigue, pessimism and stress. My recent trip to the Hawaiian island of O'ahu was a much needed respite from the city life I'm use to in NY. Hawaiian tradition is rich in Ha Aloha ritual and the people are proud of their history. Living the 'Aloha' life means to infuse love, peace, compassion and mercy into everything you do. I'm so proud to have been there and take so much of its people with me. As I sit at my computer screen, I'm recapping the dreamlike scenes that weave the experience of my magical vacation and continue to create the life I want with a little Aloha sprinkled onto everything and everyone!
